Garnish the dish with sesame seeds

This is a chettinad style roasted potato dish, usually served with freshly harvested baby potatoes. A complex and spicy dish, which is consumed either with a mildly flavoured rice or just plain steamed rice along with sambhar or rasam.
Heat the oil in a karahi and add the mustard seeds and urad dal. when it to start splutter, add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, curry leaves and fry for half a minute.
