Heat oil in a karahi, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. When they start to splutter, add asafetida, green chillies, curry leaves and finely chopped tomato sauté ill tomatoes soften and are well cooked. Add this to the boiling dal. Dal Shorba Recipe
