There is no dearth of popular vegetarian recipes in India, but Aloo Matar is probably the most commonly prepared one. An easy availability of the basic ingredients and the simplicity of making this dish, coupled with the fact that it is super tasty, all contribute to its popularity. It is the perfect dish to make, when you are too lazy to go grocery shopping!
Add some cheesy twist by just before removing the Aloo Matar from the flame, add a generous amount of grated paneer and cheese on top. Lastly, garnish the dish with a dash of chaat masala!

Prepare ingredients as mentioned in the list.

Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. When they start to crackle, add ginger and green chilli. Stir-fry for a minute. Then, add the green peas and potatoes. Cook till done.

Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, garam masala and coriander powder. Stir-fry on low flame for 2 minutes.

Sprinkle MAGGI Masala-ae-Magic and adjust salt to taste, mix well.

Put the Aloo Matar onto a platter, top with grated paneer and cheese. Sprinkle chaat masala and garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot.
