Pressure cook Arhar dal along with turmeric powder, raw mango sliced with skin and along with mango seed and water for 5 minutes after the first whistle. Once pressure is released, slightly mash the dal and keep aside.
Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and allow them to splutter. Add asafoetida, curry leaves and mix well. Saute for a minute, add onion and ginger garlic paste and cook till the onion turn golden brown. Add green chillies, red chilli powder and mix well.
Add the cooked dal with mango seed and bring it to a boil. Add MAGGI Masala-ae-Magic and simmer for 2 minutes. Adjust salt to taste.
Turn off the flame. Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
