This is a niramish recipe which means it is without onion and garlic. Alur Dom is a special Bengali potato dish, made in the east with freshly harvested baby potatoes. It is best enjoyed with luchi and cholar dal and it is extremely flavourful and rich in its spicing palette. For a special occasion, add in a tablespoon of cream or just before serving, top with grated paneer.
