The Recipe Story
Baingan ka Bharta is a very popular North Indian dish, made by mashing roasted brinjals and cooking them with simple spices and condiments. The mouthwatering smoky flavour that comes from charring the baingan, is what makes this dish stand out from the rest. A well-smoked Baingan ka Bharta, never fails to add a special touch to our regular everyday meals.
The Ingredient List
- Baingan (Brinjal/Eggplant)

- MAGGI Bhuna Masala Gravy

- Red Chilli Powder
1 teaspoon
- Garam Masala Powder
1 teaspoon
- Coriander Leaves
2 tablespoons, chopped
The Easy Steps

Roast the brinjal on an open flame or grill it till its soft inside and burnt outside. Then, wash it under a tap to remove all the burnt skin, remove the leftover skin by hand, peel it properly and mash it well.

In a karahi, add MAGGI Bhuna Masala, ginger and green chillies, sauté for a minute. Then, add the red chilli powder and garam masala powder, sauté for a few more minutes.

Add the mashed brinjal and mix it well. Continue to sauté till the whole mixture is well-blended.

Serve hot, garnished with coriander leaves.
