The Ingredient List

To make the tortellini dough.

  • Yeast - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Water - 250 ml
  • Plain flour - 2 cups
  • Oil - 15 ml
  • Minced meat - 350 grams
  • Finely chopped onion - 80 grams
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
  • Almonds sliced - 30 grams

Yogurt sauce

  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Yogurt - 1 Litre
  • Dried mint powder - 1 teaspoon
  • MAGGI chicken stock - 1 ½ cubes
  • Olive oil - 3 tablespoons
  • Crushed garlic - 7-8 cloves
  • Corriander - 1/3 cup finely chopped
  • Calrose rice - 2 cup
  • Thick Vermicelli - ¼ cup
  • Oil - 2 tablespoons
  • MAGGI chicken stock - 2 cube
  • Water - 4 cups

The Easy Steps

  1. Mix all the ingredients above and keep for 10 mins to activate the yeast. Add in the activated yeast with flour and rest for 30 mins till the dough doubles in size. Roll the dough 2-3 mm thick and with the help of a circular cutter, cut out circles. Place the stuffing in the center & fold the edges and seal them. Bake for cooking.
  2. Cook on medium heat all the ingredients.
  3. Boil all the step 3 ingredients on low flame till thick and creamy. Add the tortellini & cook.
  4. Fry the coriander and garlic in the olive oil on low flame till crispy and pour over the garlic sauce. Garnish with fried almonds.
  5. Pre soak the calrose rice for 15 mins. Fry the vermicelli for 2 mins on low flame and add in the rest of the ingredients and cook on high flame for 3 mins and reduce to simmer for 10 mins till the rice is done.
